I always wondered what a blog was good for.

Well I can say that blogs are interesting. Now I will make an attempt at it also. Recently I became aware of an organization in Albuquerque,NM that is working hard to preserve a piece of railroad history. They have a web site at  .   I have made things all my life in wood and metal so when I suggested that I make a few models for the museum and I considered what they where trying to accomplish, I volunteered. We decided to start on the model of the AT&SF Fred Harvey Alvarado Hotel built circa 1902 that was tragically demolished in 1970 much to everybody's horror. So today marks the first installment of the build  effort.
